About GITAM Vizag

GITAM University Vizag has invited application for admission in various courses. National Testing Agency has released the results for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 online for GITAM University Vizag B.Tech admissions. 

GITAM also known as Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management is a private university located in Visakhapatnam. Late Dr M. V. V. S. Murthi is the founder of GITAM Vizag and it was founded in 1980. GITAM Hyderabad and GITAM Bengaluru are the two other campuses. Earlier it was affiliated with Andhra University with the name GITAM College then, later on in 2007 it gained autonomous status. GITAM Vizag has secured an “A++” grade from the NAAC. GITAM Vizag is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the AICTE. The GITAM Vizag campus is spread over 100 acres of land in the area of Gandhi Nagar, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. 

GITAM Vizag courses comprise undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes under its institutes - GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM Institute of Technology (GIT), GITAM Institute of Pharmacy, GITAM Institute of Management (GIM), GITAM School of Law, GITAM School of Architecture, GITAM Institute of Medical & Research (GIMSR), GITAM School of Gandhian Studies, GITAM Institute of Nursing, Centre for Distance Learning, and GITAM School of Physiotherapy. GITAM University admission 2023 is done through a centralised admission process. GITAM GAT is the entrance exam conducted for GITAM University Vizag admission to courses such as B.Tech in biotechnology, civil engineering, CSE, EEE, etc. 

GITAM (Deemed to be University) scholarships include various government-aided scholarships, scholarships on the basis of ranks scored in the entrance exams and other need-based scholarships like ‘Swanath’. Some of the GITAM Vizag facilities available for the students include a knowledge research centre, wifi facility, 10 auditoriums with 6,000+ seating capacity, 10,000+ student housing, and many more.
