A private institution called Nirma institution (NU) is situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF) oversees its operations. Nirma University now holds the title of "Centre of Excellence" from the Gujarat government.

In January 2022, the Gujarati government designated the university as a Center for Excellence. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recently granted the university an A+ grade during the third cycle of re-accreditation. This grade is indicative of exceptionally high caliber academic work in the areas of teaching, research, and extension.

The Institute of Management has always pushed the frontiers of knowledge, action, and thought. The Institute of Management is a part of Nirma institution, a legally recognized institution founded by the Gujarat Government Act, 2003 (as amended in 2009). The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognizes it in accordance with Section 2(f) of the UGC Act; the NAAC awards it an A+ grade; and the Gujarat government bestows upon it the title of "Centre of Excellence." Situated in the land of the Father of our Nation, M.K. Gandhi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a UNESCO Heritage city with a strong economy, a growing industrial sector, and a dynamic cultural scene.
